Pet Therapy Dog - Beamer

Beamer is a Scenic Health Alliance Pet Therapy dog. He is a valued member of our family. Although he has not completed any rigorous certification, he has proven himself an invaluable asset within our community by brightening the atmosphere, increasing amusement, laughter and play. There is no better therapy than the love of a dog.

His local residency and fame has even earned him a starring role in one of our commercials.

Beamer has experience in:

  • Bringing joy and laughter to daily life,
  • Giving the patient something to do, talk about and think about, other than him or herself
  • Providing a source of touch and affiliation
  • Heightening self-confidence, esteem, and a sense of achievement
  • Helping newcomers meet new friends
  • Boosting overall morale
  • Stimulating exercise and activity
  • Lowering stress levels
  • Encouraging communication

Beamer has dedicated much time and effort in educating the community about leading a more healthy and natural lifestyle. Patients often find Beamer squeezed into a chair where he can greet everyone who walks through the door. Beamer also specializes in belly rub therapy. After a long day at the clinic, Beamer always finds the strength to take over the waiting area and roll over to allow patients to rub his belly.

Beamer’s goal at the clinic is to greet everyone with a smile and a wag of the tail. His motto is to “Take life in stride and good things will come to you.”
